Bio

Hello, my name is Abbey Michelle Slater. I am 9 years old and I attend Matoaka Elementary School. I’m in the 4th grade. My hobbies are playing with my pet dog ( Maltese/ Shiztu) and discovering unique hacks for fun. The piece I submitted tells the story of our country that is divided. Our world has changed so much that we have different opinions and forget that we need to be united. So, I drew “Lady United” as she bares the the United States flag on her wings. When she flaps her wings and fly she sprinkles peace and harmony to everyone.

About the Art

United. This means that there’s still hope. We were divided as a nation before and we shall become one again.

Hobbies/Dreams

My hobbies are drawing various things on my tablet and watching unique hacks to try at home. I hope to resume other activities soon after the pandemic is over. I aspire to become an ophthalmologist one day.
